In 2025, EMU Research Excellence Medals were award jointly to
Alberto Vitale Brovarone and Julie Cosmidis. As part of this distinction, EMU public lectures are being delivered online in Spring 2026.

Dr Julie Cosmidis (Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford, UK) will present a lecture entitled “Decoding carbonate (bio)mineralisation using high-throughput mineralogy” on 26th March 2026 @ 2.00 pm CET.
